One Last Day

One last sunrise,

One last minute,

If today were your last. Who would you put in it.

Would hellos be more meaningful.

Would Goodbyes be more sincere.

Would you hug the ones you loved and forgive the bitter years.

Would you be grateful for each minute.

Would you embrace the things you loved.

Would you wish you had another day to appreciate and love.

If you woke up in the morning & felt blessed to live each day.

Would you do the things you dreamed to do & start living life today.

It’s never to late to REACH for your dreams!

I woke up Friday morning and the world was fine. 4 hours later I had to put one of my best friends to sleep. He got sick & when we went to the vet, they found he was full of cancer and there was nothing they could do.

I have spent the last few days mourning and reflecting on Mogley’s life. There were so many moments I wished I had taken that extra minute to give him the love, the attention & the life he deserved. He was the most amazing dog. He was also the “good” dog. I have 2 others, that require a lot more attention because they are more needy and not as “good”. So my regrets lie in the fact, that sometimes the naughty ones, get more attention & the good boys who should of been given everything, got a little less.

I found myself wishing I had one more day. One more moment. One more chance to spend a minute appreciating this guy. Some may say he was just a dog. But I believe God brings light to this world in many forms & Mogley was glowing with it. My life is a brighter place because he was in it. I do believe another angel got his wings & he is so very beautiful!

Less is More

Focus… Focus…. SQUIRREL!!!!!! Focus..Focus SQUIRREL!!!

So I can refocus my time, accomplish more & enjoy the journey. mywings.blog, has decided to condense itself to a weekly issue. THE MONDAY POSTS!!!

Sometimes life takes on its own form and you find yourself chasing the wind into a hurricane. Your, to do list, becomes to long and it feels like there is not enough time or energy to get things done. You are rushing through everything, trying to get it all finished & multi-tasking yourself into next week. Even the things you love doing are feeling like a chore. You may have even put them aside all together & said you would get back to them later, when you have more time.

THIS IS WHEN YOU NEED TO STOP!!! Take a minute and look at everything you are doing. You need to re-evaluate your lists, refocus & prioritize schedules, so that you can enjoy life & be more effective. You might decide you are spending too much time on one thing, while you have completely given up another.

Time management helps give you back the time to enjoy life, while still accomplishing everything. If you do this, you will probably find you are now able to do a better job, your back to loving your work & you have become more focused.

I am off to Paint & build my dreams!! See you next Monday!!!

Wills & Wonts

Wills & Wonts

Where there is a will there is a way!

When left unused, willpower becomes wont power. We must will ourselves everyday, to utilize this inner strength.

It’s the missing link. It powers our desire, to pursue, our needs, over our wants. It is will ‘power’ that determines the choices we make. It rules our subconscious, it helps switch the negative to the positive, it quits the bad habit or changes the attitude.

Will power pushes us to have “self” discipline, To work harder & to pursue our dreams. If utilized it gives us strength & empowers us to make great changes in our life.

the question is WILL you Or WONT you ~REACH!!!

Sassy Squirrel

Some of the most beautiful trees I’ve ever seen are scared with the marks of life. They are crooked & bent with compromise. They have endured time and suffered great hardships. They have character. Their willingness to stand strong and bend, instead of break, has given them their beauty and their strength.

So Stand strong, don’t hide your scars, let them heal & let life grow.

We are all beautiful to this earth. Breath deep and embrace what makes you different. There is no one else like you in this world. See that you are rare. Find beauty in it & let it give you strength.

Empower yourself & REACH!!!

Patience is a Virtue!!!

Patience is a virtue, Not many of us still have it. As the days go by, I find myself right there, with the rest of the world!!! I want, what I want, when I want it. (Why???Because I can!!! )

In this instant gratification world. It’s easy to see why, patience has become a very rare commodity.

As we change with the times, we have to remember that most quick fix items, are disposable, they lack emotional importance & are designed not to last. They are just a quick high.

When building long lasting relationships, business’s or family, in this throw away world. We must be willing to give them time & nurture them to grow. Patience, understanding, love, self sacrifice, trust, hard work & a lot of forgiveness, must be the ingredients we use, if we are going to create something, that has the strength to endure the tides, of this ever changing world.

We must be patient enough to wait, yet strong enough to work hard in life & reach. We must teach our children how to lose gracefully, let them fail on there own merits .  Then help them build the strength to try again & never give up. Patience & endurance must be shown & grown.

TEACH to REACH!!!

Squirrel Thought

We finally get to a breaking point, when we realize. There is nothing left to give. If I’m going to give so much, others must give back in some way.

Before this happens. Ask for help, even if you don’t need it. A family who works, cooks and builds together, gains strength & value.

If you break, they break, then everyone suffers.

Squirrel Advice

As we move through life and become adults. Life becomes less about you & more about everyone else. we start giving our energy to everything that needs & everything that breaths.

As we make these sacrifices, we must remember to replenish ourselves with things that feed and nurture our own bodies and souls. Make an hour a day or a few times a week that’s just for you. Then Pursue something that makes you feel good about life. Pretend to be the thing you dreamed. The photographer, the artist, the carpenter, the yoga instructor, The chef. Join a group who shares your interests.

Feeding your dreams will give you strength and self sustaining energy. It is the very life force that feeds your spirit & keeps you balanced. If you nurture your soul, you and your family will prosper and grow.

Squirrel Advice

Reach higher & expect more. To have a healthy life you must have healthy relationships. We must require from others, what we require from ourselves. We must be willing to nurture & to be nurtured to grow. Love, sacrifice & selflessness must be given & returned in an endless cycle. We must be willing to work hard & make great efforts to evolve & maintain relationships with Mutual respect.

If you overlook these needs. You will spend a lifetime pushing yourself for others, giving more for less. Expending energies past the point of depleted & burning the candle at both ends. You will eventually feel broken, defeated & no longer needed in a one sided relationship.

REACH!!!

Sassy Squirrel

Don’t waste time or get to caught up dwelling about all the rocky roads you’ve traveled or the journey you took to get there. You can not change your circumstances if you keep traveling the same road. You Must change your path, push forward & stop looking back.
